There have been lifeboats stationed at The Mumbles for over 175 years. During this time, more than 800 lives have been saved and many more people rescued – over 400 in the last 5 years alone.
The Lifeboat station moved to the head of the Pier to house a 25 knot Tamar class lifeboat in 2014. The station can be visited daily and if you time your visit right you may be lucky enough to see this great vessel launch on one of its training runs.
